My father Dr. A.L. Fuerth interned at City Hosp and was a junior physician 1916-17, resident assistant physician in 1917 and 1918, resident physician from 1918 to 1921, and resident surgeon in 1921-22. He also served as superintendent of St. Louis City Hospital for a brief period before returning to Cape Girardeau in 1922. Dr. Fuerth practiced medicine and general surgery until his death in 1959.
